Caring for gold- and rhodium-plated jewellery
19. Oktober 2026 · 3 Min. Lesezeit

Our pieces are plated stainless steel: the steel underneath doesn't rust, and the plating gives the colour. Plating wears slowly with friction and chemicals, so a few habits make a real difference.
Last on, first off
Put your jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off before showering, swimming, sport and sleep. Chlorine, salt water and sweat are the biggest enemies of any plating.
Cleaning
Wipe each piece with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. If it needs more, use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse and dry straight away. Never use abrasive cloths, toothpaste or jewellery dips meant for solid silver.
Storage
Keep each piece separately in its pouch so pieces can't scratch each other, away from humidity.
